Hello, thanks for your kind words an my apologies for the late response.

As for the costs, I am happy to share what we have paid so far, if and as far as I can remember.

First, the loft insulation which you have done in the meanwhile, we have used a few 100m rolls (can’t remember how many), then two 200mm rolls (one either side) and two 170mm rolls in the middle, plus the a few blocks of 50mm slabs for the eves which is very important. In total this was about £200 spent at Wickes.

For the entrance porch ceiling I used a piece of Celotex I found in a skip. A whole 1.2mx2.4m sheet would cost about £30. I regret not having done the side at the same time.

For the bay window internal insulation I made a wooden frame from re-claimed timber and used remaining rock wool from the loft insulation.

For the pitch-pine floor boards, I cannot remember and could not find the invoice. I think the floor boards made from re-claimed beam were about £20-£30/sqm.

I removed all glass from the entrance porch and had bespoke double glassed units made at Go-Glass in Cambridge. It was not too expensive, a couple of hundred pounds. We did want to keep the original wooden frame and doors.

Replacing the pebble-dash with insulating render is still outstanding, possibly happening this summer. I have a quote from Bauwer at £300 for the material.

As for labour, I have carried out all work myself.
