Thanks for this very interesting and informative article. What I wonder though as control systems engineer is that the oscillation seen in the yield curve is a result of the dynamics of a closed loop system with re-enforcing feedback: high expectations accelerate into uncontrolled expansion, uncertainty entails an inwards spiral. This is a sign of an ill-conceived system which would make me loose my job if I designed one like that.
