What a wonderful article with a recursive pattern: realise your Ikigai through teaching Ikigai.

Whenever I mention Ikigai to friends, I like to use the juxtaposition of "What the world needs" versus "What the world wants". The "needs" are inferred or derived from the desire to maintain planet Earth; the "wants" create an economy that pays for goods and services which may not always be good for the former. For instance, the world may need sustainable personal mobility (shared means of transport), but wants large individually owned cars (SUVs).
